Coming off a sloppy 3-2 mid week win over Fieldstone Prep, Goaltender Mike Beck recorded his first shutout of the season with a 5-0 whitewash of league opponent NFA. With the win the varsity improves to 5-1 on the season and 1-1 in Section 9 play.
This contest was about defense. Committed to shutting down their opponent , the Burke boys aggressively forchecked in the offensive zone and smothered any offensive chances by the young NFA team.
The total shots on net ( Burke 45-NFA 15) pretty much indicated the the Eagles control of the game.
Greg Brushett, Ross Flood , Alex Pizzano, Chris Reinfried , Jayson Healey , each contributed one goal in the victory.

In an earlier Saturday contest, the JV boys posted a 7-2 victory over Monroe. Josh Koener and Mike McAteer led the way on offense while Yale Gropman,Alex Day,Dillon Dlanski, and Mike Moore, contributed on defense.
Eight Grade goaltender Eric Hayden stopped 18 shots as the JV improves to 3-0.
