02/05/11Albany Academy has cancelled due to weather conditions. Unfortunately the weather has reeked havoc on the schedule. We will do our best to make up some of the games.
Any JV player is welcome to skate with the Varsity on Thursdays -- 4 TO 5 PM--. Friday practice is still 4:45 to 5:45. We hope to do more scrimmaging with the Varsity at the Friday practice. The Varsity season is winding down as they get ready for their Regional play-off on 03/05.
Varsity Notes: Seniors Alex Day, assisted by Sophomore Stephen Speer, and Richard Hudzik, assisted by Senior Mike McAteer, each scored a goal as the Eagles fought to a 2-2 tie vs the Harvey school in Katonah. Eric Hayden steered away 24 shots on net while the Eagle offense peppered the Harvey net minder with 28 shots.
Although fast an furious , neither team could get the game winner in overtime.
