Weekend Update::01/27/07

After a tough loss to a pretty good Fordham Prep team on Friday at Rye Playland , the Burke boys re-bounded with a comeback 4-3 victory over Brewster HS. The Eagles ,who have been struggling as of late , demonstrated some real resolve by overcoming a two goal deficit and shutting down their opponent for the final two periods.

With the Eagles trailing 3-2 entering the third period , the sometimes anemic offense stormed the Brewster net to score the tying and winning goals. Chris Reinfried, Tommy Farr, Greg Brushett, and John Conroy got the scoring job done, while goaltender Mike Beck and a tenacious Eagle defense preserved the lead.

When the Eagles work hard, play ' their game', they become very stingy.

With five games remaining plus playoffs, the Burke boys are capable of deciding their own fate.
