29TH Shot on Net Sinks Eagles

02/09/2008--- The 29th shot on net proved to be the game winner as the Eagles suffered their first loss since Christmas; Final Score Monroe 3- Burke Catholic 2.

In an exciting overtime match in which both teams had each registered 2 goals and 28 shots, a backhanded flip from behind the net trickled behind Eagle goaltender Mike Beck to end the contest.

Beck was terrific in goal as was his counter part Monroe goaltender Sean O'Sullivan.

Both netminders had plenty of support as both teams skated to the best hockey of the season.
